Privileged classes have always existed. Information from a global AI is available to all, but when it is fed directly into the brains for some, as if it were their own thoughts, society becomes further divided. There are the VIPs with Virtual Intelligence who can afford the access, and the RIPs, the real intelligent ones. Is social ascent possible? Of course, there are foundations and big companies funding direct access, but you don’t pay the price with money alone. Nor is the solution just a matter of intelligence.
