Andy S. Falkner: Cosmic Friend or Enemy

The SETI program searches for extraterrestrial intelligence. However, its success will probably come too late, even if the message reaches its recipients and they might respond. Unfortunately, they cannot (yet) know whether they are doing something good for themselves and humanity. In any case, they convey their views about themselves, about special manifestations of intelligence in outer space (such as puddle-shaped authors communicating through gravitational waves and live completely independently of each other), and about different ideologies of the universality of good and evil. These are now deciding between the life and death of both the puddles and humanity. Beyond that, they can learn even something more important things from humanity.
